FAQ's

What is Patriot Basketball Club (PBC)?

The PBC is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that gives the Millard South community a great opportunity to play competitive basketball. We are heavily integrated with our Varsity Coaching Staff, teaching the future Patriots the fundamentals and insight to the game of basketball. We emphasize the values of hard work, fundamentals and (most importantly) having fun to our youth in the Millard community.

Do I have to live in the Millard South district to play for the PBC?

We do not limit our teams to ONLY Millard South district youth. However, it is encouraged.

How much does a Season with PBC Cost?

If you are new to the Patriot program, registration fees are $550. The $100 submitted at tryouts goes towards this total. An additional $50 per parent will be added to dues if you do not volunteer at our annual PBC Holiday Tournament. Uniforms and fittings will be coordinated this summer, the price above includes uniforms.

What is the time commitment?

Our basketball season starts with practices in September and goes through early March. Most weeks consist of two 1.5-hour weekday practices and league games or tournaments on the weekend. If your team is playing in a tournament, that “usually” consists of 3 games over the Friday evening – Sunday timeframe. League games are usually one a weekend. We use the Millard South school system’s gyms for practices.

How and when will I know if my son is selected?

The offer to play with the PBC will be done via email. I will only be emailing those that are receiving an offer. Upon receiving the offer, you will have 24 hours to respond and accept. In most cases, the offer will be for a spot with the club, the level of play your son will be placed at will be determined next fall by the grade’s coaching staff. Expect offer emails to be sent 2-3 days after the tryout session.
